DESCRIPTION:
This monitor will check the number of files in a specified folder that are older than a spcified number of minutes, and will then trigger an alert into HP OpenView Operations Manager.
- Monitors the number of files in a folder which are older than X minutes, allowing you to set thresholds accordingly
- The monitor is useful for checking folders which are processed by a particular application, for example, thereby allowing you to monitor when processing has possibly stalled
- The code has been tested on the platform described but is not guaranteed to work in your environment
- This document is intended to provide you with an example of what we have done, and what can be achieved with the tools mentioned
