This document provides our recommended approach to installing and configuring the HP OpenView Operations Manager Java GUI console within your organisation.
We have worked with many clients and have come up with this standard approach on how you can configure the tool to help standardise the view of HP OpenView Operations Manager across all users, thus ensuring consistency.
It also helps to maximise the effectiveness of the tool, ensuring that users view alerts in the best possible way, and provides examples of additional features such as filters. Also included are some recommended daily tasks to ensure users get the most from the Java console.
This document is intended to provide you with an example of what we have done, and what can be achieved with the tools mentioned. It is not endorsed by HP, and is intended to be used in conjunction with the standard HP OpenView manuals.
