DESCRIPTION:
This monitor will periodically check the status of HP OpenView agents and will trigger alerts into HP OpenView Operations Manager accordingly.
- Useful as an extra check of the health of your monitoring estate
- Checks for both complete failures and partial failures
- Checks are performed per Node Group to avoid checks on non-agent systems
- Run as a schedule template
- Includes opcmsg template details to receive the alerts from the script
- Provides summary alerts along with detailed alerts for each failure
- Example shows failure alerts directed to the datacentre for action and ticketing
- The code has been tested on the platform described but is not guaranteed to work in your environment
- This document is intended to provide you with an example of what we have done, and what can be achieved with the tools mentioned
