what a night! a great line for a song but not any old song or artist
this was a wedding night to remember for ever. Thanks to Martyn
Rapley for making it just that. The connection he had with the guests
was great. Belting out tune after tune the dance floor was full to
bursting from start to finish. His vast range of musical talent
shone through and was picked up on by the feed back from the guests most
of whom had never heard Martyn play before. A special thanks to Martyn also for learning a very special song for our first dance it meant a lot to us. | "Kris and I would just like to say a big thank-you to Martyn for agreeing to play at our wedding. He started off by playing Spanish guitar through the wedding breakfast which was absolutely perfect in setting the right mood, and he then continued to play at our evening reception and I don't think the dance floor was empty once! He has a very extensive play list that we were able to choose from which suited our guests as the music ranged from the 50's right through to 2005. Martyn was also very good at interacting with our guests (even after they'd had a few glasses of wine!!) which added a really nice personal touch. We did set him a bit of a challenge in that we wanted Jamie Cullum's version of 'What a difference a day made' as our first dance song and Martyn rose to that challenge and did an absolutely fantastic acoustic version. We had quite a few comments before the wedding as to were we sure that one man on guitar was enough - listening to those same people after the wedding they have done nothing but rave about him and to quote 'its the best party they'd been too in ages' which we think is down to Martyn. One particular memory I will take away with me is the very last song of the evening before we departed as we wanted to go out on a high, so Martyn played 'Song 2' by Blur. It was brilliant - I think nearly all our guests were up on the dance floor and we couldn't have asked for a better end to the day!! We certainly wouldn't hesitate in recommending him to anyone."
